Dynasty Battles Returning to Germantown!
On Wednesday, December 14 at 7:15 p.m. we are bringing the acclaimed pianist, Dynasty Battles, to the Germantown Branch for a special masterclass presented by the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society. An alumnus of our Germantown Branch, Battles was recognized by AL DÍA as a “40 Under Forty” honoree in 2020, and had the incredible opportunity to perform George Walker’s Piano Sonata No. 1 at the composer’s home. Battles studies with internationally acclaimed pianist Leon Bates, and has also studied with Jonathan Coopersmith, Chair of Musical Studies at the Curtis Institute of Music. This Masterclass is open to the public, so join us for performances as well as expert feedback and advice!

What do you think the arts are worth? At Settlement, we think they're priceless; and so are the children who want nothing more than to play their favorite instrument, or learn to dance, or sing in a choir.
Your generosity will help make sure we can provide them with a high-quality education at a cost their families can afford. Please help us bring the arts to a child in need by making a gift today.
