- Broader Single-Engine Coverage: An additional 24 single-engine aircraft models have been added to the AML.
- Total Coverage: With this expansion, Dynon's STC now covers nearly 800 aircraft models, solidifying its position as one of the most comprehensive avionics upgrade options in general aviation.
Approved Model List Expansion Details
The expanded approved model list covers a wide range of aircraft, including most non-pressurized piston single and twin-engine aircraft that carry up to 10 people. This includes larger piston single-engine aircraft that were outside of the scope of the original AML, such as the De Havilland Beaver. Dynon also added other aircraft, such as the Ercoupe/ Aircoupe, that were requested by popular demand.
Pricing and Availability
Dynon is committed to maintaining its competitive pricing structure with this expansion. The prices for SkyView HDX systems and related products are the same as the existing affordable experimental and certified pricing. For type-certificated aircraft owners Dynon charges only a modest STC permission fee - $2678 for single engine aircraft and $5000 for twins - making the upgrade process straightforward and accessible.
"We're excited to offer our advanced avionics to a broader range of aircraft while maintaining our commitment to value," said Michael Schofield. "Twin-engine aircraft usually pay a significant premium to equip their aircraft, in part because there are two engines, but also because they are often segmented into higher cost equipment. By keeping our pricing consistent across our Dynon Certified product line, we're ensuring that more pilots can benefit from modern avionics technology."
