IN THE COMMUNITY
The E-470 Transportation Safety Foundation (TSF) recently announced the recipients of nine $2,500 transportation safety grants. The nine recipients are  nonprofit organizations who aid  local safety through teen and impaired driving education, transportation safety for seniors and veterans, as well as car seat safety in our communities.  The TSF also awarded  $200 grants to seven high schools in support of After Prom events and other safety programs.  Click here to learn more about the winners and the work of the TSF
ROAD UPDATES
E-470's project to widen both directions of the road from Quincy Ave. to I-70 has made great progress during the first half of 2020.  Earthwork is now 90% complete, with 700,000 cubic yards of earth placed for the third lane installation

TRANSPORTATION NEWS
Tolls are now in effect on the newest completed section of the I-25 North Express Lanes between 120th Ave. and
E-470/Northwest Pkwy. Do not cross the solid white lines; enter and exit at the designated entrances and exits marked with a dashed white line. Speed limits set for the I-25 corridor apply to the Express Lanes as well. 

The I-25 E xpress Lanes are free for motorcycles and vehicles with three or more people and a Switchable HOV Transponder. Motorists are encouraged to sign up for an ExpressToll account to save money on tolls by visiting ExpressToll.com . The new Express Lanes are available 24 hours a day and connect to the existing I-25 North Express Lanes from US 36 to 120th Ave., offering the option for a continuous trip from E-470/Northwest Pkwy. to downtown Denver and back.   Learn more about the Express Lanes  here

FINANCIAL NEWS
E-470 closed a major debt restructuring transaction on approximately $250 million of callable bonds, which will lower and level E-470's future debt service profile.The bond sale was met with a positive response from municipal bond investors, as the Authority was able to generate more than $4.4 billion in orders from more than 70 investor accounts.
