Don’t Forget: Celebrate
Pentecost in colorful fashion!

Pentecost Sunday this year is June 9.
Celebrated on the seventh Sunday (49 days) after Easter, it commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and other followers of Jesus Christ while they were in Jerusalem, as described in Acts 2. Celebrate the occasion in the usual GSP style by wearing your best red , orange or yellow (or combination) outfit. The church itself will be decorated for the day. Dress yourself to match!

Please join the Spirit Players’ First Friday Play Reading on June 7 at 6:30 p.m. in the Bloom Room to celebrate Father’s Day by reading an old “chestnut” of American theatre.

Photo Directory sessions
continue through June

Members of Grace St. Paul’s can still have their pictures taken for a new photo directory through the last Sunday in June.
A photo studio is set up in the Social Services office inside the Parish Office from about 9 to 9:45 a.m., and again immediately after the 10 o’clock service until noon.
Subjects are able to see and approve pictures at the time of taking. There is no cost, no sales pitch, and the digital image files will be provided upon request. The directory itself will be published as a PDF file which will be made available to everyone who wants one. Print-on-demand physical copies can be arranged through a third-party provider. Additional photo sessions can be arranged on alternate days or locations if needed. Please contact John Banks through the Parish office to make those arrangements. Please plan to have your picture taken and included in our new directory. It’s a good way for us all to get to know each other!
Preparing for the End of Life

We live in a culture that doesn’t like to think about death or grieving, and that’s understandable. But it’s important to be prepared.

These classes will help us to better prepared spiritually and also make practical plans.

Adults of all ages are welcome to attend this free course . Join us on four Saturday mornings (10:30 am-12:00 pm) in May and June 2019.

GSP Summer Camp is June 17-21,
the 3 rd week of June

From 9am – noon, for children, ages 4-14.

Theme: Love First!

The camp is free and includes lunch. Registration forms are available online, in the church office and in the narthex. Volunteers needed! Please contact
Pastor Kimberlee if you can help.

We want to make everyone aware of the location of new first aid kits across the GSP campus. Each is prominently marked. Please be aware of each so that we can quickly respond to any emergency:
•   Back of the church (Narthex) - In the indented area used by ushers on the east side of the church, there are three kits. Hanging on the east wall is a regular first aid kit and a trauma kit. On the west wall in the same indented area is a heat stress kit.
•   Front of the church (Chancel) - In the front corner of the church, next to the door to the sanctuary and to the left of the Bishop’s chair, two kits are on the wall, a trauma kit and a regular first aid kit.
•   Kitchen - On the west wall of the kitchen, next to the outside door and above the fire extinguisher is a regular first aid kit.
•   Office - In the main office area, on the wall next to the entrance to Social Services, is a heat stress kit.
Specific staff members and volunteers will be offered first aid training and information on how to use these kits. But we will also soon be offering first aid training for the entire congregation. More information on that will be forthcoming.
As your Junior Warden, I will always keep in mind safety and proactive measures we can do to care for one another.
Thank you all for your support,
