Thank you to all members that responded to our short survey on your attendance at the 2022 CAMA Conference scheduled to take place in Regina from May 30 to June 1, 2022. The CAMA Board will be discussing whether or not to proceed with this event at a meeting this week. Please watch for an announcement in your inbox by Friday, February 18th, 2022.

The Board are excited to be launching our next resource available to CAMA members in the future. The CAO Human Resources Toolkit is designed to provide information regarding several different human resources topics with support through samples and links. CAMA worked to ensure the toolkit could be used by municipalities of all sizes and in all geographic locations and would like to thank all of the members who participated in its development, whether through the survey, sitting on the Committee, or providing samples to share with our members. This toolkit will be an electronic interactive document and will be housed in CAMA's Member's Section. Watch for more details coming soon!

WOMEN in Local Gov Admin_LOGO.png

The Women in Local Government Administration Working Group (WILGA) was established in 2020 to explore, assess, and implement actions to increase the number of women in senior administrative leadership positions in local governments across Canada. Along with CAMA, the Working Group is comprised of representatives from the Alberta Municipalities, CivicInfo BC, Local Government Administration Association of Alberta, and the Society of Local Government Managers of Alberta. If you are a CAMA member CAO, you should have received a short survey in your inbox yesterday (February 15th) from CivicInfo BC that will help the WILGA Working Group evaluate the success of initiatives undertaken to meet its purpose of increasing the number of women in senior administrative leadership positions in Canadian Local Governments. We thank you in advance for your feedback.
