CAMA CANCELS 2022 ANNUAL CONFERENCE

A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

We sent a survey to our members to gather information on planned attendance at CAMA’s 2022 Annual Conference scheduled to take place from May 30 to June 1, 2022 in Regina.  We had an overwhelming response from our members with the majority of them indicating that they are unable to commit to attending an in-person national conference at this time. The Board looked at all options, weighed member feedback, and determined that the feasibility of hosting a Conference with the current uncertainty of the pandemic would be extremely difficult. Therefore, CAMA’s 2022 Annual Conference has been cancelled.

We are mindful that the CAMA Annual Conference is a key benefit for CAMA members and are saddened to have to once again cancel such a valuable professional development and networking opportunity for our profession. Our goal now is to focus on our return to the Deerhurst Resort in 2023. We want to make this Conference “bigger and better” than we had originally planned back in 2020.

CAMA would like to acknowledge the significant efforts, resources and commitments undertaken to date by staff, the Conference Planning Committee, and the City of Regina team.

For additional information on the cancellation including the Long Service Awards Program, the 2022 CAMA Awards of Excellence Program, the election of the 2022-2023 Board of Directors, and the Virtual Annual General Meeting please visit the website.
