Armenia Service Project (ASP)

July 2-17, 2016

The Armenia Service Program(ASP) provides young adults an opportunity to travel to their homeland to not only tour, but to give back to their brothers and sisters in Armenia. This trip is truly a pilgrimage in which hundreds of ACYOA members have felt a connection to their Armenian heritage that continues to inspire them throughout their lives.

The program began in the 1970's and was called the Armenia Studies Program. ACYOA members would travel to Armenian for educational purposes. Several years ago, as need for aid in Armenia grew, the course of the trip changed from studies to service. For many years, the service portion of the trip included acting as counselors and teachers at camp Siranoosh in Yeghegnadzor, a camp for underprivileged children from the villages in Armenia. The ASP recently joined Habitat for Humanity, which has been making a considerable impact in Armenia, to build homes for a better, stronger homeland.

All young adults ages 18 to 30 are welcomed to participate.  Register by  March 20  to secure  a discounted rate of $1975.00 .

Armenian Scholarships 2016

The Armenite is proud to present our annual list of Armenian scholarships for 2016. Our list this year has been updated and we're happy to note that there is an increase in the number of scholarships, grants, and fellowships this year. We firmly believe in the power of education to promote the tenets espoused by our  mission  which will, in turn, strengthen and secure the future of the Armenian Nation.

We have found nearly two dozen more scholarships since our 2015 list of Armenian scholarships for an additional $200,000 worth of funding. Among these, this year, we have also included college and area-specific scholarships available at particular educational institutions or in particular regions.

We have included as much information about each scholarship as possible to help students decide which are right for them. The scholarships listed below are organized by date, starting from the beginning of the calendar year. Also note that some scholarships listed indicate that the application is open for the 2016 calendar year, but the date is not reflected on the website.

Here are over 40 scholarships totaling more than $1.2 million in funding for students pursing anything from an undergraduate, graduate, or doctorate degree. We wish you the best!
Applicants should exercise due diligence including verifying application deadlines and criteria prior to applying.
