Pleasanton Chamber Celebrates 75 Years of Supporting the Business Community
It all started back on August 8, 1907 when a small group of Pleasanton’s influential citizens met at City Hall for the purpose of organizing a civic body that would do work to further the progress of Pleasanton and to communicate with the citizens and businesses of Pleasanton an ambition to enhance and grow the town. The meeting was led by Mr. Belger, President of the Oakland Chamber. He explained what their chamber had done to further civic improvements in Oakland and argued the same could be done in the small town of Pleasanton with a population of only 1,400 at the time.

This was the genesis of the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce as we see it today. The formal incorporation was not completed until September 30, 1946 which is why we are celebrating our 75th anniversary this year.

Over the next several months, we will be highlighting the many Chamber accomplishments over the past 75 years. You will hear from community leaders that were instrumental in shaping the future of Pleasanton through their role with the Chamber. From helping with planning Niles Road, lowering electric light rates which lowered business insurance rates, donating funds to support our first sewer system, to holding events like the Corn Roast to the Good Times Parade and much more.

Celebrating our anniversary gives us the opportunity to thank and remember our past leaders that were instrumental in guiding the Chamber to continued success. After all, the Chamber would not be where it is today without the support of our members and our awesome community. Please reach out to me if you have a story you’d like to share or participate as a partner in celebrating our anniversary.
We Are The Pleasanton Chamber
With spring upon us, this is a natural time for renewal, a time for healing and re-growth. As COVID vaccination rates increase, we are noticing this healing in our personal lives; friends and family safely reuniting, kids back at school and sports teams at play. We see this healing in our business community as well. Restaurants, fitness centers, and entertainment are all starting to re-open. And as they open their doors to us, our hearts fill with hope."

Assistance League of Amador Valley
A generous donor has partnered with the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce to provide a monthly contribution to a small business. The anonymous donation has been named The 214 Gift, and each month, a different Chamber member will be presented with a check.

The 214 Gift for March was presented to the Assistance League of Amador Valley, who's philanthropic programs reach more than 4,000 recipients in the Tri-Valley each year.

"Assistance League of Amador Valley would like to thank the Pleasanton Chamber and the anonymous donor for their generous gift. Our Food Pantry donations have doubled this year and we are so grateful for this gift to help others in need in our community. Thank You!"
