Thank you for your support in 2021
|
As we close out 2021, I want to first and foremost thank you for your continued support and investment in our organization. We would not have been able to continue our advocacy and networking programs this year without you standing by our side. I look forward to continuing our work together in making sure Pleasanton, and the Tri-Valley region, remain one of the best places in the Bay Area to live, work and raise a family.
I want to thank two of our outgoing board members and past chairs, Herb Ritter and Randy Brown for their six years of service. We will miss your leadership, creativity, hard work and humor. The good news is they aren’t leaving Pleasanton, so I look forward to continuing to see their smiling faces and receiving their sage advice.
I also want to welcome our two new board members Bill Wheeler, owner of Black Tie Transportation and Bob Rossi, owner of Sunshine Saloon. They are great additions to our Board of Directors and will bring new perspectives and leadership to our Board as we REBUILD the chamber membership.
Please join us for our final mixer of the year on December 8 at Venture X. Help us close out our monthly mixers with our largest attendance of the year. It is sure to be a wonderful night to make new connections.
Finally, you are extremely important to us. If you need some flexibility to continue as a member of the chamber, please reach out to our Membership Director Dawn Wilson. She can be reached by email at [email protected] or by phone at 925-846-5858 ext. 202.
We look forward to our continued partnership. If there are additional ways we can help your business during this time, please contact me by email at [email protected] or by phone at 925-846-5858 ext. 204.
On behalf of the Chamber Board of Directors and staff, we wish you a very happy and healthy holiday season and prosperous New Year!

Safeway re-invests in Pleasanton
|
|
Safeway has been proudly serving Northern California since 1926. Pleasanton is home to the Northern California Division of Safeway and one of Albertsons Companies corporate offices in addition to two Safeway locations. The company continues to invest in new store development and store upgrades throughout Northern California. Most recently, the Santa Rita and Bernal Avenue Safeway stores in Pleasanton received new enhancements. This includes expanded premium deli offerings with a range of freshly prepared meals and ready-to-serve options, an assortment of organic, natural, and healthier-for-you choices, and a variety of fresh and high-quality choices from bakery, meat, and floral departments.
The new aisle signage named after local streets in town pays homage to the community. Both locations also offer curbside pick-up. The Drive Up and Go pick-up service allows you to place your grocery orders online, schedule a pick-up time and a store associate will put the groceries directly into your car. Additionally, the Santa Rita store has a new Starbucks kiosk. Stop by your local Safeway in Pleasanton to check-out these new offerings.

Big Bay Ray is a 501c3 nonprofit that supports horse rescue organizations. Each year, Big Bay Ray selects a different rescue to financially support, and they do this by donating annual profits from the sale of their homemade bags. This year, Big Bay Ray is offering the small gift bags at Towne Center Books, 555 Main Street in downtown Pleasanton. Click to learn more and buy a bag.
