 October 2014
The renovation project of the 11th and 14th greens is complete. Come out and enjoy the brand new greens as well as the beautiful scenery the Callippe Preserve Golf Course always offers. Better conditions, faster rounds, lower scores.
The Ambassadors recently completed its seven-month "Olympic Games" competition where the winning team of Ken Norvell, Alice Jones and Randall Cole Brown (pictured in center holding banner, not pictured: Sandy Levine) won the gold medal. The Pleasanton Chamber Ambassador Committee is the public relations arm of the Chamber. Ambassadors are involved in membership development through recruitment and retention programs, including ribbon cuttings and attendance at mixers and luncheons.
"Taste the History" at  Elliston Vineyards
A beautiful summer evening on the patio and in the event center at Elliston Vineyards was the setting for the August networking mixer. Guests enjoyed a mashed potato bar and sliders as well as some of Elliston's own wines and champagne.
"Taste the history" Complimentary wine tasting every Saturday & Sunday.
Explore our historic mansion, and wander our lush grounds. Tucked away in Sunol, our old-world property and Victorian charm will take you back in time. Elliston has been producing fine wines since 1890, and has specialized in weddings and special events since 1982.
New Leaf Connects Business with Education
For the second year in a row, New Leaf Community Markets hosted the September mixer, which featured a Salute to Education theme in an effort to connect business with education.

Candidates Forum for 16th Assembly Race

One of the most closely watched, highly anticipated races in all of California is here in the East Bay's newly formed 16th Assembly District where Catharine Baker and Tim Sbranti are vying for the seat being vacated by termed-out Joan Buchanan.

This race promises to be a close one, and I am very excited to announce that your Chamber will hold a candidates forum breakfast on Friday, October 17, 2014 to showcase the difference between them as you prepare to vote.

Local chambers of commerce throughout the 16th Assembly District are partnering to promote this event, so I encourage you to register as soon as possible because seating will be limited.

Great thanks to the Pleasanton Doubletree (Hilton) Hotel for helping us make this breakfast program possible for just $20 per person. The doors will open and breakfast will be served beginning at 7:45 a.m. The program will be from 8am to 9am.

Questions are being crafted now and won't be known to the candidates in advance - only the topics will be known in advance. If you have questions or topics you'd like our candidates to address, send them to me via email: [email protected].

Beyond The Cloud 2.0

Last fall at the "Beyond The Cloud" event, the Chamber and City of Pleasanton presented Economic Driver Awards to Adept Technologies and Workday; a provocative panel discussion about the future of cloud-based technology followed. Today people are still talking about how great that event was.

This fall on November 19, 2014, we'll present Beyond the Cloud 2.0 - presenting Economic Driver Awards to more dynamic Pleasanton-based companies, then we'll soar 'Beyond The Cloud' with an inspiring keynote by retired United States Navy Blue Angels Flight Leader and Top Gun Instructor George Dom

Nationally renowned consultant /speaker, Dom will share critical lessons on leadership, team-building, and high performance, based on his 26-year Navy career that transform managers into leaders and groups into cohesive teams. More about George Dom here.

Lots going on this fall, hope to see you soon.
