Happy August Caldwell Baptists!

This is the last month of summer which means that our churches and association are getting busy, and the transition into fall is near. There are a couple of Vacation Bible Schools happening next week and that will end the VBS season. We are praising the Lord for the many ways He has blessed our churches through VBS this summer! Hundreds of children and adults have heard the good news of Jesus Christ, many trusted Him as Savior, and many gospel seeds were planted in hearts. Pray for your church as you follow up with prospects from VBS, and as you seek to disciple those who have become new babes in Christ. “.... teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you!” Matthew 28:20

This week our Volunteer Enlistment Team began their work by praying for those whom the Lord will send to serve in the many different capacities in our association. The Mission Statement of our association is: “The mission of the Association is to equip, encourage, and engage churches in making, maturing, and mobilizing Christian disciples in Caldwell County and beyond.” Our association is organized to carry out our mission through the following ministry teams:

  • Board of Directors
  • Administrative Team
  • Financial Review Team
  • Gatherings Team
  • Volunteer Enlistment Team
  • Church Strengthening Team
  • Missions Mobilization Team
  • Baptist Men’s Team
  • Woman’s Missionary Union Team
  • Ruth Keller Craig Scholarship Team
  • Pastoral Leadership Team

Are you willing to allow the Lord to stretch you and use you in our association? The association is here to help the church be the church. Pray - asking the Lord if He would have you serve on one of our teams. The apostle Paul commended the churches of Macedonia for their eagerness to serve the Lord by serving others in the work of the church. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if our churches and our association suddenly became overrun with volunteers eager to serve the Lord? Let’s pray for that!

“The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” Matthew 9:37-38

Please pray for our Volunteer Enlistment Team, asking God to flood His fields with eager workers.

Being Joyful!

August 1-8: ServeNC Week

If your church didn't exist, would your community notice? ServeNC Week is an opportunity for every N.C. Baptist church to demonstrate the love of Jesus through service projects. Whether it's painting a school or serving meals to those in need, your church knows your community's specific needs.

Commit your church to being on mission together and display the gospel during the week of Aug. 1-8, 2026. Sign up today! For more information and promo video for your church, click HERE.

SHARE YOUR PLANS WITH US! We would appreciate if you would share your ServeNC plans with the association office. To share, please fill out the form HERE. Remember your ServeNC projects do not have to be completed during the week of August 1-8. Any service projects done within the month of August can be included.

The North Carolina Missions Offering theme for 2026 is "Living Sent". This year's offering goal is $2.8 million. North Carolina Missions Offering (NCMO) brings relief to those in need through disaster response, church planting and mobilizing of N.C. Baptists for missions. Generous donations through NCMO fund the mission throughout the year. This offering will be emphasized and received during the month of September but your church may contribute to the NCMO at any point during the year.

Our message for the evening was brought by David Cooper, and Ryan Thompson, Hayleigh Livingston, and Priscilla Moretz provided us with wonderful worship music. As usual, a delicious BBQ meal was provided by James Todd! If you missed this evening, be sure to make plans to attend our next fellowship!
