Hello Caldwell Baptists!

I am so thankful to the Lord that He has given me the privilege of serving alongside the churches of the Caldwell Baptist Association. In the early 90’s when I began in pastoral ministry, the Lord impressed upon my heart that no matter where He led me to serve I should be involved in the local Baptist association. My dad was a pastor, and he modeled this practice. He believed, as I do, that we can be far more effective and reach a much broader field of harvest by working together. Quite a few of the churches in Caldwell County have men’s and women’s groups meeting together on a regular basis for fellowship, spiritual growth, and encouragement. I say praise the Lord! As your associational leader, I find this encouraging and if I may be of help in promoting events that are biblically-based and true to God’s word, please let me know! Email me at ams@caldwellbaptist.org, or call the Baptist Center at 828-758-4081 and let us know how we may be of help.

There is always more that we can do. Those in need of the gospel message have us far outnumbered. The apostle Paul said, “I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some.” Paul was constantly searching for more ways to connect with as many people as possible, hoping for every possible opportunity to connect with any and everyone on a personal level in order to tell them the truth about Jesus Christ and His gospel message. As an association of churches, there have to be many more ways that we can think of to connect with the lost people of our community! I always qualify this statement by reminding everyone that, first and foremost, the Word of God never changes and He is the same yesterday, today and forever. But we must embrace the fact that our world is changing rapidly, and our society is in constant flux. If we are going to be as effective as possible with our assignment, the Great Commission, then we need to put our heads together and get creative with our methods of sharing the love of God and the good news that Jesus saves!

Your Caldwell Association needs you! We must be determined that we will be on mission together! Please pray for your church and your sister churches in our association. Pray that we will be united in serving our Lord together as one.

Be Joyful! It’s contagious!
