Hello Caldwell Baptists!

Cool weather and fall colors are finally here! The season changes come every year like clockwork just as God said for it to be. Isn’t it amazing how God makes the seasons change? No two days of the year are the same. Different lengths, different colors, different conditions.

Some days are wet and some days are dry. Some days are frozen and some days are baking. Some days are calm and mild and some days are stormy. God makes each day as He sees fit. He doesn’t consult a meteorologist to see what kind of conditions He needs to set in motion. Then there are the breathtaking sunrises and sunsets that He creates new each day. Artists can only paint a likeness of these. God shows them to us live and in real-time.

My friend Neil Bowman and I rode our bikes on part of the Parkway last Friday and it was such a worshipful experience. I just had to smile and say “Wow!” as I felt the cool fresh air and saw the beautiful Fall colors that the Lord has once again painted for us to enjoy. God gives us these experiences for us to enjoy Him. As we experience and enjoy what God has made we don’t need to let our minds stop there. God’s creation of the earth is for us, but not about us! It provides for us a means to praise and glorify Him, and to enjoy our relationship with Him. The earth with all of its wonder and beauty; the air that we breathe and feel, the light that lights our way, the smells that are sweet and good, the colors of the sky, rainbows, trees and flowers, the majesty of mountains, and great clouds, the power in lightning and the authority of thunder, the brilliant white snow that blankets everything for a time, and the pleasing sound of birds singing - all of these and more are all opportunities for us to say to our God, “You are great and wonderful and loving, and good in allowing us to live in the middle of Your masterpiece called earth.” We can tell everyone, “My heavenly Father made that!”

Psalm 95:1-6 says, “Oh come, let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the Lord is the great God, and the great King above all gods. In His hand are the deep places of the earth; The heights of the hills are His also. The sea is His, for He made it; and His hands formed the dry land. Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.”

“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!”

Psalm 150:6

*Pastor Appreciation that lasts all year

October is Pastor's Appreciation Month. What better way is there to honor our Pastors than sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ? You can do that by purchasing Bibles through the Gideon Card Program. Every penny of your donation is used to buy Bibles which will be distributed both locally and around the world. If your church does not have a card display or if you need additional cards, please contact

Jeff Foster at (828) 308-3944.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD OPPORTUNITY!

Bethany Scott of Day 3 Church had the opportunity to travel to Paraguay on an Operation Christmas Child Vision Trip. As she personally handed out shoeboxes, she got to see the other side of the shoebox firsthand—and how a simple gift can open the door to sharing the Gospel.  She would love to visit your church or group and share her experience. Contact Bethany at 828-396-7165.
