Hello Caldwell Baptists!

Tomorrow, September 17th, marks three years that Martha Jo and I have been blessed to be a part of the Caldwell Baptist Association family, and we thank you all for making us feel at home here in Caldwell County. It is such a joy to serve our Lord and His churches! It is an honor and privilege to walk alongside our pastors, encouraging them, praying for them, and helping them navigate the many aspects of pastoral ministry. It is encouraging to get to know all of you who are faithfully serving as leaders of our churches. Thank you Caldwell Baptists for serving our Lord together! It is great to be ON MISSION TOGETHER!

The Caldwell Association is your church working alongside other churches - encouraging one another, worshiping together, praying for each other, lending a helping hand when needs arise, and going out together into the world around us, sharing the love of God and the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our mission fields are from right outside our church doors to all over the world. Think of our Caldwell Baptist Association as an extension of the work of your individual church. As I have said many times before, and will continue to say, we can do far more together than we can apart. The Bible says, “By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:35). Loving one another implies that we have a relationship with each other. Having a relationship with each other as brothers and sisters in Christ implies that we are on mission together, obeying His call to make disciples!

The Apostle Paul taught the church at Ephesus, and is also teaching us the same:

“19 Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, (That’s us!) 20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, 22 in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.” (That’s us!)

We, the Caldwell Baptist Association, are 71 churches strong. We have a lot of people, a gospel message, and a lot of resources, and God has called us to be on mission together. Get excited with me about the Great Commission that God has called us to. Get involved in the work of our Association. Get the word out that we, the Caldwell Baptist Churches, are on mission together!

“Thank you Lord Jesus for entrusting Your gospel ministry to Your churches. Give us visionary eyes to see all the ways that we can work together, and we will give You all of the praise, honor, and glory! Amen”

Be Joyfully On Mission Together!

Want to keep Bible learning going after VBS? Consider starting a Bible Drill program for your children and youth! If you have a child who is interested in Bible Drills but your church is not able to provide a program this year, contact Nancy Haigh (info on flyer) about joining her group at Fellowship Baptist. COMMUNITY NEWS

According to recent statistics by the Guttmacher Institute, "Approximately one in four women are expected to have an abortion by age 45, given 2020 abortion rates." We understand that this topic is uncomfortable and sensitive - but we also know that healing, hope, and forgiveness can only come through Jesus Christ. Beginning on Thursday, September 10, we are offering our 12-week Haven Bible Study for women that have an abortion in their past and are interested in healing. This group is confidential and focused on healing through Jesus Christ. It will take place weekly from 5-6pm at our Granite Falls office on Thursdays.  For more information or to attend this class, please go to www.cpccfriends.org/abortion-recovery or contact Rebecca Davis, Client Services Director, at rdavis@caldwellpregnancy.com.
