Bishop’s Fall Conference: Communion, Community and Conversation
Tuesday and Wednesday, October 20-21, 9:30 a.m. – noon
For Clergy, Lay Leaders and Spouses
via Zoom

Join Bishop Susan Goff, Bishop Jennifer Brooke-Davidson, and Bishop Porter Taylor as they offer teachings and reflections on the themes of Communion, Community and Conversation. Together we will explore Christ’s call to us to live faithfully in this and every time of disruption.

We will focus on our missional priorities of racial justice, creation care and evangelism as we strive to become a Church that looks more and more like the communities and world around us. Our time will include teachings and reflections by each bishop, conversations between the bishops and small chat groups that bring you fully into the conversation. Don’t miss it – register today!

(Rebroadcast from the previous day’s Convention)
December 27 | The Sunday following Christmas

We are 179 churches worshipping together in one faith community. Join us for these two special diocesan online gatherings. Both services will premiere on Facebook and YouTube. Churches can make the services more interactive by hosting watch parties during their normal service time on their Facebook pages. The services will also be available for churches to incorporate into their regular Zoom broadcasts if they choose. More information will be distributed as the service dates approach.

Sacred Ground Facilitators' Webinar: Reaching "Racism Skeptics"
October 15, 4 – 5:30 p.m.

One key part of being a white ally is reaching out to communicate with other white people who are what Dr. David Campt calls “racism skeptics” – folks who aren’t sure that racism is the problem people say it is. Whatever your background, this interactive workshop will help you strengthen your capacity to:
  1. Invite racism skeptics to join Sacred Ground circles
  2. Facilitate circles in a way that keeps skeptics at the table (and helps everyone keep an open mind)
  3. Engage racism skeptics in your daily life.
