Largo Homeless Outreach Team

It positions designated officers, working directly with social service professionals, to focus specifically on supporting people experiencing homelessness by connecting them to services whenever possible. Last December, the Team received national recognition by then U.S. Attorney General Merrick B. Garland as was one of the recipients of the 7th Annual Attorney General’s Award for Distinguished Service in Community Policing.
