Happy New Year: January 4, 2021
Ed Grant
Senior Pastor
Happy New Year! Over the years these words have been repeated by young and old alike. We all want this new year to be filled with happiness and joy. Many things like one day being able to reunite with our families, or being able to gather again in worship, or just being able to travel or get away for a little while, will certainly bring much happiness to our lives. But, if we want to go even deeper and experience real joy then we will want to put forth a little extra effort.
Joy isn't just an emotion triggered by receiving a gift or something special. Joy comes when we do something for someone without any thought of a reward or getting something in return. God gives us joy when we act in love to help someone or encourage someone or meet a need in someone's life.
Many things bring happiness at least for a little while, but to experience real joy comes when we do something for others simply because we love God. Oh yes, I want this to be a happy new year, but I also want everyone to experience joy. Joy gives us the deepest sense of fulfillment. Joy comes when we allow the love of God to spill over and touch the hearts of those around us.

We meet at the church and ride together at 9:30 a.m., and we work at the Heart & Hand Thrift Store from 10:00 a.m.—noon, with a lunch stop on the way home (bring lunch $). These are great times serving together, and this activity is available for YOUTH of ALL AGES ;)

Disciplines: A Book of Daily Devotions 2021
We still have copies of the 2021 Upper Room Disciplines. Our cost was $10.99 per copy; we are offering them to you for $5 each. This book contains a year of daily devotions; start off the new year in a good frame of mind! Copies are available in the church office during the week.
Live Stream Tech Volunteers Needed
To help continue our Facebook-Live presence for our 10:30 a.m. worship services, we need several volunteers to train and learn the process to help this outreach. We are blessed with the technology to be able to reach others for Christ in this new way. Please consider being a part of this team! Please contact Karen in the office or Pastor Jeremy
