Yesterday was Children's Sunday, and we had a great time! I am so proud of all the children, and my heart is full! They led worship, sang, danced, and prepared a message. Their willingness to take charge was inspiring to see, and they really wanted to show everyone what they learned. Together the 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders talked and thought and crafted a message. Their enthusiasm for sharing their faith was unquenchable. Their main point was this: "Jesus tells us we need to be like children to get into heaven. So, remember to be faithful and humble like a child. Don't let your adulthood keep you from depending on God; and like a child, remember to look up."
Thank you to Amy Mullins for coming to talk about Spring Heights Summer Camps. If you need more information about camps or scholarships, ask Ellis or Jeremy.
And a special thank you to Jeremy and all the "grown-ups" who participated in Good News for Adults. The kids (and adults) were laughing the whole time!
Vacation Bible School is coming fast! Mark your calendars for June 23-28. This year we're on a mission "To Mars and Beyond!" We need help for the morning and evening sessions. I'm looking for Station Leaders: Crafts, Games, Missions, and more! We also need Crew Leaders and lots and lots of helping hands. If you haven't signed up, look for an orange sign up sheet or talk to me!
