Summer vacations and activities are in full swing. The choir will continue to provide music throughout the summer, but our practice schedule has been abbreviated. Thursday evening choir practices will be on July 11th, August 1st, and August 22nd, at 7:00 p.m. Regular weekly practices will resume on September 5th.
There will be no choir on Sunday, July 21st, as Mike and I will both be gone that week. Thanks to Beth Sauvageot for providing the music that day, and to Don Gatewood for singing the anthem.
The handbell choir is off for the summer and will resume practices on Sunday evening, September 8th, at 5:00 p.m.
I would like to thank Ellis Conley for all of the support he gave to me and to the music ministry, and for being a great pastor and friend over the last 5 years. He and Julie will be missed. I wish them only the best in their retirement. I'm really glad that Jeremy was reappointed as our associate pastor, and I'm excited to begin working with our new pastor Ed Grant. It was great to have Ed singing with the choir on Sunday.
