What a fantastic Holy Week we experienced here at Forrest Burdette - from the Spring Fling that was full of eggs and fellowship, to the Living Last Supper performances on Thursday and Friday evening, to the business of our Youth and Young Adults' monthly Service Saturday spent with the folks at Heart & Hand Ministries in South Charleston, and to the the early morning Sunrise Service sponsored by the Teays Valley Ministerial Association that kicked off a lovely Easter Sunday that was followed up by two great worship services here at Forrest Burdette. Our choir and orchestra, soloists and handbell choir, along with a wonderful double blessing by our Senior Pastor Ellis Conley... the week could only be capped off by one of my favorite Easter traditions, a Sunday Nap! We are truly blessed to be a blessing here at Forrest Burdette, and I am so glad to have shared another year with our wonderful congregation and the visitors that also shared in all of these experiences with us. May we continue to look for ways to uplift the spirit of God and share in the resurrection news each and every day, not just during Easter morning. Christ is risen!
