We have such a variety of ministries within the life of the Forrest Burdette Memorial Church body that I'm constantly amazed of all that we support here. It's been a joy to hear from mission teams and scouting organizations over the last several weeks during worship. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's been blessed by all the ways in which our people serve God. I'm also thankful of all the support that our church gives to these groups as well. It was fun sitting next to the Girl Scouts yesterday as they sold their cookies to raise money for continued community support. They didn't even mind the Uth offering cups of milk for a small donation either. I'm glad we can all work together for the kingdom of God and enjoy each other along the journey.

A Lenten Journey of Love
As a spiritual pilgrimage during Lent, you are invited to take a special 6-week journey. You won't need extra clothes, there won't be much travel involved, nor will you have to spend a lot of money. The preparation will be mostly in your spirit.
First Week: The Hand of Love -Write a letter, send a card, or email, or text to a friend, someone not related to you, near or faraway. Tell them how much you appreciate them.

Lenten Purple Bows
Be sure to take home a purple bow to hang from your lamppost, mailbox, or door to designate your home as a part of the Forrest Burdette family during Lent (March 6-April 20).

Lily/Lenten Giving
This season, consider ordering Easter lilies or making an Easter donation. A 7" potted Easter lily (double stem) is $18.50 each and can be purchased in memory or in honor of loved ones. Or, make an $18.50 donation to the Building Fund in memory or in honor of loved ones. Click here for the order form. Forms with payment are due to the church office no later than Sunday, March 31, 2019. If you purchase a lily, you are asked to take it home after the Easter services. Thank you!
