 October 7, 2019

Yesterday we shared in a wonderful afternoon of reaching out to our neighbors in South Charleston. What a wonderful way to help support our surrounding communities here at Forrest Burdette. Not only did we have around 20 folks from the church participate in Heart & Hand's annual Hike for Hunger, but also the church was able to donate over $1000 to the cause. Thanks for the kind donations that were taken after worship services and to the Mission Outreach Team for supporting this wonderful cause.

Many Hands for OCC
Many Hands Working Together to fill boxes for the Packing Party on Oct 26. By taking a green slip from the tree in the Narthex and returning items before Oct. 25, you will help complete the final items for 150 children.
Next week shoeboxes will be available for families to take home and pack their personally selected items for a special girl or boy. What comes from the box could change a child's life for eternity. It's the power of a simple gift, and we get to be part of it! National Collection Week is the third week in November.
