 January 14, 2019

Your talent is God's gift to you. What you do with it is your gift back to God!
I feel very blessed to be surrounded by great servants who have great talents and are willing to tirelessly use those talents to glorify God.   I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mike Barnhouse for all of the help that he provides to me during rehearsals and worship services. Mike is an extremely talented musician with a servant's heart, and we are very fortunate to have him here at Forrest Burdette providing such great accompaniment and special music for the worship services, not for his own glory, but for the glory of God.
I would also like to thank each singer in the choir, each musician in the orchestra, the narrators, the sound techs, and the media techs for the fantastic job on the Christmas Cantata and throughout the Advent season, for the hours of preparation, and for their continued service week in and week out providing great music and leadership for the worship services. Thanks to JaynĂ© Kirk for the beautiful singing of "O Holy Night" with the orchestra on Christmas Eve that is still giving me chills to think about. Thanks to the handbell choir for your dedication and commitment to weekly practices and for music that truly ministers to the soul. "What Child is This" that you played on Christmas Eve was amazingly beautiful. Thanks to the praise band, soloists, and small ensembles for the time they spend preparing and presenting special music that enhances the worship experience. Kudos to all of you.... Keep up the good work! And a big THANK YOU to Ellis and Jeremy, to the lay leadership, and to the entire church for your support of the music ministry. All Glory to God!

Choir Director
