NAIFA-Florida is proud to announce a new corporate partnership – with IMPROVLearning Driver Safety Courses. According to Jeff Chernoff, chair of the association’s Business Development Task Force, this new partnership will allow our property-casualty members to send non-dues revenue to NAIFA-Florida by simply referring their auto insurance clients to IMPROV for: 1) mature driver discounts (55+); 2) traffic school / driver improvement school -- to avoid increased rates due to violations; 3) and traffic law and substance abuse education (TSLAE) for new drivers.

Your auto clients will take advantage of preferred pricing and 24-hour customer support when using the NAIFA-Florida web portal. Want to take a look? Go to:  https://www.myimprov.com/traffic-school/florida/naifa/
“Any time we can generate non-dues revenue for our association, it goes a long way towards keeping our dues down and providing valuable member benefits – for all of our members across the state,” said Chernoff.

For over 30 years IMPROVLearning has been an industry leader in all things driver education. Their insurance courses deliver effective driver training by rethinking the ordinary and providing the very best in online instruction.

All NAIFA-Florida members are invited to attend the association’s virtual installation of the 2023 Board of Directors and Annual Awards Ceremony, Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 4:00 p.m. ET. These events are very important to the life of the association and it’s a time of celebration not only of our new leaders, but it’s also a time of well-deserved recognition of our award winners for 2022.

Past NAIFA-Tampa Bay President Jeff Chernoff, MS, LUTCF, LACP will serve as NAIF-Florida President in 2023 and lead the Board as it carries out the association’s Mission next year. Congratulations to Maureen Kirschhofer, CLU, ChFC who will be President-Elect, and Cheryl Canzanella-Lewis who will serve as Vice President.

The Installation part of the program will be conducted by NAIFA-Florida’s own Bryon Holz, CLU, ChFC, LUTCF, LACP who will be President of NAIFA in 2023. During the Annual Awards Ceremony, the association’s top award winners will be honored. Again, this is a time to celebrate the association and we encourage all members (and non-members) to attend. The event will last approximately one hour and is open to all. Please join us!! Jeff Chernoff, 2023 NAIFA-Florida President
NAIFA-Florida’s Bryon Holz to be Installed as NAIFA President

As we approach the end of 2022, there’s an item of interest happening at NAIFA-Florida and at NAIFA which I thought you might enjoy hearing about:

For the first time in nearly 58 years, NAIFA-Florida willl be honored by the fact that one of our members -- Bryon A. Holz, CLU, ChFC, LUTCF, CASL, LACP from Brandon -- will serve as NAIFA President in 2023! Not since Philip A. Hoche, CLU from Orlando served in 1965-66 has a member from Florida been President.
Mark your calendars for March 20-21, 2023 for NAIFA-Florida’s Legislative Day on the Hill in Tallahassee! The dates are Monday and Tuesday. Details are not complete, but the format will be very similar to last year’s event – an orientation with talking points and review of the issues on Monday afternoon with our Lobbyist Tim Meenan, followed by an evening cocktail hour and dinner. Then Tuesday is designated for all attendees to visit with Legislators, and then departure for home when finished. Watch for more complete information and registration.

NAIFA has announced that Jeff Chernoff, M.S., LUTCF, LACP, loyal member since 2011 as the 2022 Young Advisor Team (YAT) Leader of the Year. Chernoff is Vice President of Insurance & Trust in Tampa. He currently serves as NAIFA-Florida President-Elect, and he serves on the National YAT Working Group. Chernoff's past NAIFA leadership roles include Past President of NAIFA-Tampa Bay, moderator for NAIFA's Leadership in Life Institute (LILI), and NAIFA-Florida IFAPAC Chair. Chernoff will be recognized during the upcoming National Leadership Conference (NLC) in Washington, D.C. on November 14th and will join the ranks of his fellow YAT leaders from across NAIFA.

The members, leaders, and staff of NAIFA-Florida congratulate Jeff! To send a personal message of congratulations, feel free to send him an e-mail:  jmc@iat.bz.
