Thank you to our parent and staff veterans for your service. Eden Prairie High School, Central Middle School and our elementary schools took part in various lessons throughout the week about Veteran's Day.

Sixth Graders at Prairie View Elementary also created Cool Ties for deployed troops, Skyped with a veteran and wrote letters to soldiers for a service project leading up to Veteran's Day. Students and staff at Prairie View are working with Operation Gratitude to deliver their creations to our service members. View the photos on our Facebook page.

These are just a few examples of how our students recognized Veteran’s Day throughout the school district.
e-Learning
Eden Prairie Schools has adopted a grade 7 through 12 e-Learning Plan. The 2017 Legislature amended the  Length of School Year; Hours of Instruction (Minn. Stat. § 120A.41)  to include the option of a school district using e-Learning days due to inclement weather. Eden Prairie Schools e-Learning plan allows schools to minimize the impact of loss of learning for our secondary students when inclement weather leads to school closures. According to Statue, schools can use up to five e-learning days in one school year. The  full plan  includes frequently asked questions.

There are no e-Learning days for K-6 grade students because the independence required for e-learning at this age can be challenging. Also, the required instructional time in Eden Prairie Elementary Schools exceeds the minimum number of hours required by the Department of Education.
