Reverend Maryum's Weekly Prayer
Being in Harmony
God is the Infinite Love of all we see. I am connected and filled with the Oneness of the Divine.
I see myself living in harmony in all areas of my life. I hear the birds singing and it brings a smile to my face. I live in joyful accord at home, at work, and in community. This pleasing combination of people, places, and things are all working together for my good. This is the natural state of the Universe and the natural state of my consciousness. I fully enjoy life's encounters, large and small. I allow myself to feel the sensation of harmony, and let it free any tension in my body. I permit my body to enjoy the relaxation of this way of being. I direct my thoughts, words, and actions to be aligned with harmony thus my life's experiences are pleasing, invigorating, and expansive. My thoughts, word and actions are in harmony and the results are a new way of living and being. I live in love, peace and harmony.
In great gratitude, I now live from the loving consciousness of God fully expressing as me; therefore all is in harmony and Oneness now. And so it is. Amen

John Holland PSYCHIC TAROT ORACLE DECK-
for today's wisdom
John Holland's CARD MEANING
"This card represents the masculine qualities of leadership, logic, strength, wisdom, and power. When this card emerges, it acts as a teaching tool; and in so doing, it is encouraging you to develop or reignite these qualities and tap into the masculine aspects of yourself. Other traits also included are good reasoning and problem-solving skills, being grounded, and learning to develop strong mental control over free-reining emotions.
Oftentimes, this card appears to symbolize a father figure, or an individual of wise authority who may be present in your life. It could be someone of high influence in business, or a prudent friend who uses logic and reason to create a positive outcome. Ask yourself whether it's time to take on and emulate similar qualities.
Now is when you must act like a leader and exert your will by incorporating form and structure into ideas, plans, and foundations. It's time to stop talking and act in order to achieve what you must. Use the qualities and character of the Authority Card so that when you need to make a choice, you approach it from a place of wisdom, rationality, logic, and grace rather than one of foolishness, belligerence, greed, or self-centerednes. The way in which you acquire, handle, and wield power and authority is now being tested.
Traditional tarot archetype: The Emperor"
JUST A THOUGHT (or two) ABOUT THIS CARD:
What stands out from this card is: "Is it time to emulate qualities of wisdom in action?"
What is wisdom really? In some circles its accessing that space within yourself that knows best. There's this soft voice that comes up with the greatest ideas that are so filled with simplicity and arises unadorned without fanfare, that sometimes we just dismiss it. When I was growing up, my family called it Common Sense.
Often our greatest heroes in our lives are the ones who tell it to us straight and from someone who genuinely wants to see us be great.
The Authority card is a reminder of that person and it's a clue that the wisdom we seek, is always from inside of us. That place that KNOWS what time it is and yet lovingly taps us on the shoulder telling us that if we want to succeed, we may need to pump the brakes on the tom-foolery.
No body benefits from smoke being blown up the hind-quarters and taking on Authority within all our affairs, means that it is time to shore up the courage, discipline and to cease and desist on the dithering and dissolving into a puddle of ineffectiveness.
There is something you know that you should be doing. There is some hero within ready to rumble and get down to brass tacks about your affairs. And if for some reason, you don't feel you're up to the task, then this card comes as a wake-up call to get you to enlist some help from someone who DOES know the way.
We play all parts on the chess board, if you don't remember. We are the Pawns; we are the Knights; we are the Bishops, we are the Rooks; we are the Kings and even better we are the Queens that run the whole danged board!
This is the time to do that right thang. Call for reinforcements or sit up straighter in the seat and reach for the tools of mastery that lie within you to use.
Reason over emotion, will over indecision, and action over passivity. You are up to the task and this card is a reminder that you have a choice to be the kickass Master/Mistress/Non-binary badass you wanna be and need to be in this instance. There's nothing but space and opportunity to shine as bright as the sun in every endeavor you set your mind to.
So here's an affirmation to help us stay the Xena Warrior Princess or Thor of our lives:
"I choose to dissolve all fears that darken my being. I choose to feel safe and secure at all times. I commit myself to developing the highest level of fearlessness in my life."
And so it is.
And So It Is.

What Brother Ernie said:
WE will always attract to us, in our lives and conditions, according to our thought. Things are but outer manifestations of inner mental concepts. Thought is not only power; it is also the form of all things.
The conditions that we attract will correspond exactly to our mental pictures. It is quite necessary, then, that the successful business man should keep his mind on thoughts of happiness, which should produce cheerfulness instead of depression; he should radiate joy, and should be filled with faith, hope and expectancy.
These cheerful, hopeful attitudes of mind are indispensable to the one who really wants to do things in life.
Put every negative thought out of your mind once and for all. Declare your freedom. Know no matter what others may say, think or do, you are a success now, and nothing can hinder you from accomplishing your good.
All the power of the universe with with you; feel it, know it, and then act as though it were true. This mental attitude alone will draw people and things to you.
Begin to blot out, one by one, all false beliefs, all ideas that man is limited or poor or miserable. Use that wonderful power of will that God has given you. Refuse to think failure or to doubt your own power.
See only what you wish to experience, and look at nothing else. No matter how many times the old thought returns, destroy it by knowing that it has no power over you; look it squarely in the face and tell it to go; it does not belong to you, and you must know -- and stick to it -- that you are now free.

Fearless Living: 4 Ways To Run Your Life With A Little Less Fear
by Kate Bratskeir
If "fear" didn't exist, what risks would you take?
The question may inspire endless fantasies (and please, spend some time reflecting), but it also points to some obstacles. Namely, that fear is actually a necessity. "Fear is a survival skill," says Susan Schorn, a self-defense and karate instructor, and author of "Smile at Strangers: And Other Lessons in the Art of Living Fearlessly."In that sense, we can't expect to entirely rid fear from our lives. But we can manage fear, so it works to our advantage and doesn't hold us back. "[Fear is] very inefficient -- it will take a bigger bite our of your life than it should," Schorn tells The Huffington Post. Our brains are hardwired just as they were when our ancestors needed to know when to run from physical danger. But, danger has changed as we've evolved, so what and how we fear needs to change, too.
Below, find four tips for living less fearfully in the modern world. Implement these practices at home, at work and in your relationships, and you'll be better equipped to find more opportunities for success.
Being afraid to ask for what you really want is inefficient for many reasons, but mostly it's a waste of time and gets in the way of your needs. Rather than dance around a request with doubt-laced phrases like "Would you mind?" or "I was wondering if ..." choose to be direct. Often, we fear speaking bluntly will make us seem unsympathetic or callous. But, "being direct and clear doesn't have to be rude," Schorn says, and it will only lead to "less frustration."Another aspect of communicating clearly is saying "no" and sticking to your guns. "So much of this is habitual," she says, so while rejecting someone or being direct may feel overwhelming at first, with practice you can make it work.
Educate Yourself About Risk
"There's a big difference between something that's scary and something that's dangerous," Schorn explains. This is a crucial concept to remember when you're deciding whether or not to follow through with something you're unsure of. Think back to the risks you've taken in the past -- was the exhilaration you felt after you followed through worth overcoming your initial fear? Probably. It could be wise, as Eleanor Roosevelt once wrote, to "Do one thing every day that scares you." Just make sure you evaluate the risk -- and assess the danger -- beforehand.
Let Go Of What You Can't Control
Unfortunately, certain dangers exist in this world that are beyond our control. The sooner you're able to accept this reality, the closer you'll be to fearlessness. You can't wish away rain, you can only prepare for the storm. When you spend time trying to risk-proof a situation, you are missing out on potential wins. You're wasting an opportunity to put your energy toward something else, says Schorn, who explains that assessing what's in your power (and what's not) is a vital part of making progress. When feeling fearful, ask yourself what you can prevent, and what is out of your hands. Then, act accordingly.
Smile at Strangers
Schorn got her book's title from realizing how empowering it can be to make connections with others. "There are many ways to be safe and still interact with people," she says. When you feel it's appropriate, making the choice to be open with others can harvest great rewards.
"Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared." - Buddha
