"It's important to have balance! Working multiple jobs or projects at once. Making work fun"
"It's important to have balance! You may be working multiple jobs, or you have several projects going on at once. Reconsider your to-do list. Is it really necessary to accomplish it all?
The key to managing stress is to think of ways to make your situation more fun. Look at life in a playful way! You may be having challenges balancing your budget. Be cautious of juggling finances in a way that causes long-term difficulties. Career changes should be looked at carefully and decisions made slowly and logically."
Going with the flow. Making it look easy. The ability to get by on little money."
JUST A THOUGHT (or two) ABOUT THIS CARD:
This is the card for all you multi-taskers out there (which of course is something of an epidemic )! What stands out for me are the following issues: STRESS and FUN.
Tackling the stress in these times is something of a bear that we all are wrestling with. Yes, because of technology, we have at our fingertips a wealth of information. Access to any factoid 24/7 is supposed to make our lives easier. But the good old-fashion times where we didn't have access to all this info, gave us more tranquil pursuits - such as reading by the fire, taking walks and conversating with another face-to-face.
What this card is pulling up for me is the awareness that even in this technological "paradise" that there is a need for another type of paradise. Such as community and laughter and leisure.
Somedays, leisure seems to be a Netflix binge! As long as you're laughing and relaxing, more of that time is called for.
Personally, I am juggler and this card is stating that there is definitely more to life than juggling.
There's a call for simplicity and acknowledgment of the grace that lies in doing nothing.
Which brings me to the next point that Ariel Deux card talks about...the ever allusive FUN!
I believe in my heart that fun is a necessity that is as essential as breathing.
SO the plan is to incorporate less multitasking and increase more fun. So this creative conundrum is our mission this week.
Ask yourself HOW CAN I MAKE HAVING MORE FUN A PRIORITY?
Ask yourself DO I NEED TO PILE ON ANOTHER TASK REALLY?
And even if that answer is YES to the latter question, how can you make your bulging To-Do List more enjoyable?
Maybe it's by playing Chubby Checker while you're working. Putting up comic strips on your wall that faces your work station. Maybe it's watching a comedy program every night for a week. Or going to a painting and wine course.
You know what simple and cost-effective things you can do. And you don't then you have permission to use that technology at your fingertips to find something fun and inspiring to do.
And it may be as simple as coming to Center of the Heart on Sunday to hear George and Eje play reggae or Beatles songs. (It's Free!)
Briefly about the imagery:
This card as a skater boy doing a handstand on the edge of some Roman ruins. He's doing something fun and wild and crazy but he has Archangel Ariel in the background enjoying the show.
This is a perfect balance of human feats of courage against foolhardy risk. But the scenery is so beautiful and the angelic presence of grace is so powerful that even in the midst of thankless tasks, there is a way to enjoy the ordeal.
Twos are about the balance between the cost and benefit of something. So weigh the cost of overloading yourself with tasks versus their benefit.
There is also a financial aspect to this card which is about asking yourself during your self-analysis of your workload, etc - IS IT POSSIBLE TO HAVE A HIGHER QUALITY OF LIFE WITH LESS?
Ariel is the archangel which means means "altar" or "lion of God" in Hebrew. She is also referred to as the Angel of Nature. She protects God's creations - this means You!
So it's time to slow your roll as much as you can, even with your competing priorities, knowing that as much as you've got this - you owe it to yourself to enjoy your life along the way!
So here's an affirmation to assist you with honoring yourself amongst all your hectic activity:
I am worthy of all the good things in my life
And so it is.
And So It Is.
