National Vocation Awareness Week
November 7-13
As we celebrate Vocation Awareness Week, the Sisters of Saint Joseph in and around Camden, NJ, with a total of 738 years of service to God and God’s people, continue to celebrate and respond to God’s call by embracing God’s dream and serving the Dear Neighbor with the same zeal and spirit as our founding sisters. We commit to be joyful, courageous witnesses to the Gospel imperative of active, inclusive love. (Direction Statement, 2019)

Our ministry is a basic gospel call which incorporates the spiritual and corporal works of mercy. With our feet in the street, seeking to meet the needs of every sort of neighbor we minister with God’s people as educators, human service providers, and in various forms of spiritual and pastoral ministry. As Sisters of Saint Joseph, rooted in a love of God and neighbor without distinction, We live and work to bring all people into union with God, one another and all creation. (SSJ Mission Statement)

Welcome Dannah Addalli
Program Coordinator
Associate in Mission Office
We are delighted to share with you the appointment of Dannah Addalli to the position of Program Coordinator in the Associate in Mission Office. Dannah has been an Associate in Mission for 20 years and an active member of the Mount Saint Joseph 1 Christian Growth
Group. During her time as an associate, Dannah has served as a member of the Associate Advisory Board, the Mission Effectiveness Committee, and the Commission for Justice. She has participated in various service opportunities, attended retreats and the spiritual offerings, and was a long-time volunteer at Saint Mary by-the-Sea Retreat House. Dannah also shares her musical talents as a member of the Congregation’s liturgical music group performing during the Motherhouse masses and special events.

Dannah's commitment to the Mission and Spirituality of the Sisters of Saint Joseph is evident in all the ways that she has been connected to the Congregation and the Associates in Mission during these past 20 years and we are thrilled that she wants to continue that commitment as a staff member in our Associates in Mission Office. We know that she is looking forward to deepening her relationships and making new connections with our Sisters and Associates in Mission as she transitions into this new role.

"With the help of God's grace and in fidelity to our founder's expressed wish, we live and work lovingly among all persons with a special preference for those who are poor, which calls us wherever we are to be in union with them."
