Fourth Sunday of Easter
O God, whose Son Jesus is the good shepherd of your people;
Grant that when we hear his voice we may know him who
calls us each by name, and follow where he leads; who, with you and the Holy Spirit, lives and reigns, one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.

THE REV. ERNESTO "JAR" PASALO NAMED YOUTH & CAMPUS MISSIONER FOR THE DIOCESE
|
We are pleased to announce that effective May 1, 2020, the Rev. Ernesto "JaR" Pasalo, has been named the Diocese of Hawai'i's Youth and Campus Missioner. Fr. JaR, who grew up on Maui and attended Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, was ordained to the Presbyterate in January 2016, at The Cathedral of St. Andrew. Most recently, he served as the Vicar at St. Nicholas Kapolei and St. John the Baptist Maili.
As the Youth and Campus Missioner, he will support our congregations in their ongoing youth (7th to 12th grade) and college campus programs, helping to create a network of youth and youth workers. He will be working in cooperation with the Diocesan
Youth Ministry Design Team that was established in 2019.
As Fr. JaR settles into this position, he will be reaching out to congregations and their youth/college communities. You can reach Fr. JaR at:
jpasalo@episcopalhawaii.org.

CAMP MOKULE'IA CANCELS 2020 SUMMER CAMP PROGRAMS
It breaks our hearts to announce that we have made the difficult decision to cancel our 2020 Summer Camp program. This decision has not been made lightly. This decision was reached after consultation with local health care professionals and considering information provided by the CDC, ACA (American Camp Association), Hawai'i Department of Health, and federal "Opening America Again" guidelines. The health and safety of our campers, their families, and our staff remains, as always, our primary concern.
Families of campers who have already registered to participate in any of our 2020 Summer Camp programs are being contacted directly, and given the opportunity to either:
- Apply their balances to a future camp experience at Camp Mokule'ia,
- Donate all/part of their balance to the ministry of Camp Mokule'ia, or
- Receive a full refund
Please know that you and your families are in our thoughts and prayers during this challenging time.
We look forward to seeing you next summer!

2020 ELECTIONS BY MAIL IN HAWAIʻI
Planning to vote in 2020?
Hawaiʻi is switching to VOTE BY MAIL (VBM), starting this year.
If you did not receive an informational postcard from the Office of Elections in January, chances are you are not on the voter rolls, or have been dropped because they have been unable to deliver to the address on file. If you plan to exercise your right to vote in this extremely consequential year, check your voter registration at
https://olvr.hawaii.gov/
to register, confirm, or update your voter registration address.
