Dear Friends,
We are delighted to welcome you to another edition of the Strangulation Prevention E-News. In this issue, we are excited to share what we have been up to these last six months.
We can’t believe we’re already halfway through 2025! As we reflect on the past six months, we’re excited to share some of the impactful work we’ve been doing.
So far this year, we've led nearly 15 trainings across the country, educating professionals from all disciplines on the seriousness of non-fatal strangulation and raising awareness to better support survivors. We’ve continued to highlight the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration in these cases to help ensure justice for victims.
In addition to our trainings, we’ve developed over 50+ brochures for organizations nationwide to help educate both professionals and survivors. We also hosted our annual “What We’ve Learned” webinar, where we shared key lessons, best practices, and the latest research. We remain committed to providing ongoing tools and resources through our regular E-News updates and Facebook Live sessions. We continue to meet regularly with our National Advisory Committees to explore emerging issues, gather insight, and collaborate on the development of new resources that address the evolving needs in the field.
Each week, we are honored to meet more survivors and dedicated professionals who inspire us, challenge us, and reignite our passion for this mission.
As always, we extend our heartfelt thanks to all those involved in supporting survivors of domestic violence and non-fatal strangulation. Your dedication and hard work continue to bring hope and healing to those who need it most. Together, we can make a difference, one step at a time.
Always with great Hope,
Casey, Gael, Joe, Fernanda, Jess, and Jahlyssa
