Fiscal Year 2024 Budget Adoption

On Thursday, December 7th at the Village's regularly scheduled Board Meeting, the Mayor and Board will vote on the adoption of the Proposed Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 Budget. The Village of Woodridge encourages and welcomes community input regarding the FY 24 Budget. Please visit our Public Comment Webpage to learn how you can submit a public comment about the FY 24 Budget and other agenda items.

Santa Comes to Woodridge!

Santa Comes to Woodridge" on Saturday, December 2 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the St. Scholastica Parish Activity Center (7800 Janes Avenue). This event is free and Parents will have the opportunity to photograph their children seated in front of Santa and Mrs. Claus. Free gift bags will be given to the first 200 children in attendance and letters to Santa will happily be accepted. Lights snacks and refreshments will be available for purchase.

Holiday Light Recycling


Woodridge residents may recycle non-working holiday lights at Woodridge Village Hall, 5 Plaza Drive, or our Public Works building, 1 Plaza Drive. The Village is partnering with Elgin Recycling to offer this free service to residents now through March 1, 2024. Please - no CFLs. 

Toys for Tots


We are excited to announce that Woodridge Village Hall (5 Plaza Dr.), Woodridge Public Works (1 Plaza Dr.), and our new Police Department Facility (7215 Janes Ave.) are drop-off sites for the Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots campaign! Toys for Tots will accept new, unwrapped toys for boys and girls from infants to age 12. Please avoid any stuffed animals, clothing, food, and gift cards. Monetary donations can be made here. Toys will be accepted until Friday, December 15th.

The Village of Woodridge is seeking applications for the position of Building Inspector in the Community Development Department. Under the direction of the Building Commissioner, the building inspector performs full plan reviews, inspections for all project types and supports customer service activities from project submittal to completion. Amtrak Survey - Union Station

Concourse Redesign


Amtrak has plans underway to redesign the Concourse at Chicago Union Station. The new design will increase capacity and provide a higher level of service for both intercity and commuter passengers while bringing the facility into a state of good repair. As part of the redesign plan, Amtrak is launching a customer survey to gather input from all users of the station. Click here to take the survey.

DCEO Back to Business NewBiz Program


The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) has announced that a total of $25 million is available through the Back to Business (B2B) NewBiz program. The program is designed to provide additional support for businesses that launched during the pandemic. The application process opened Thursday, November 30. Click here to learn more.

2nd Annual Holiday Gala Fundraiser!


The Rotary Club of Woodridge proudly presents The 2nd Annual Holiday Gala Fundraiser benefiting Woodridge VFW Memorial Post 1578 and Project Cure! This year's Holiday Gala Fundraiser will be hosted on Wednesday, December 6 from 6:30 pm until 11:00 pm at Bobak's Signature Events (6440 Double Eagle Drive). The event will feature music performed by the band Strung Out, an open bar until 8:00 pm (cash bar after 8 pm), and appetizers provided by local vendors. Learn more and purchase tickets here.
