July 31st, 2020
There has been so much rain lately and, when it isn't raining (or sometimes when it is), it is so hot outside! I am so thankful to live in this beautiful community, however, it would be nice to be outside right now. I am growing tired of being stuck inside my house or the church.

I am sure you are feeling similarly.

This is one reason I was so pleased to celebrate Christmas with you all last Sunday. Reminiscing and experiencing the joy of the season and being together lifted my spirits more than I expected it to. Hearing our choir, seeing the handbells, singing such familiar carols and then hearing the Christmas story was deeply moving and lifting to my sour mood.
I hope you participated in worship live with us or caught it later on YouTube or in a DVD from a Mac Pack.

This upcoming Sunday we get a similar opportunity as we are celebrating Easter together. We will read the Resurrection story, sing "Christ the Lord is Risen Today," and worship God together. I hope you will join us at 11:00AM on Facebook live, and I encourage you to share the service on your Facebook page to invite others to join us.

Gathering as the body of Christ right now is important for each of us and we need each other. I look forward to interacting with you on Sunday and worshipping the risen Lord!

Blessings!
Pastor Carrie

Peace and Blessings to all!

During VBS, our kids made "Virtual Hugs" out of construction paper and string. (they can be put around the shoulders as a way of hugging from afar.) Knowing that there were many people whom they loved that they could not hug during this time of social distancing, they made the "hugs" to mail to friends and loved ones. The hugs had messages of love and hope written on them! Many of the children also made some extra hugs for our homebound members who receive our weekly Mac Packs!
So, this week, our 22 Mac Packs included a set of virtual hugs made by the kids are Memorial! Thank you, kids! And thank you, Memorial! It's your support of our ministries that help make sweet gestures like this possible!
