UMW Candleburning Service

Anyone may burn the candle in honor or in memory of someone who has touched his/her life and the lives of others in special ways. All of the Candleburning donations will go directly to MISSIONS.

Let's Put a Name with a Face!
Throughout the month of July, the Welcome Team will be making you a name tag as you enter worship services. We know this will help Pastor Claire put a name with a with a face!

MEN'S BREAKFAST
There will be NO MEN'S BREAKFAST for the month of July. Regular meetings will resume on the first Sunday in August (August 5).
Mother-Child Retreat at Camp Don Lee
Our conference UMW will be sponsoring a Mother-Child Retreat at Camp Don Lee September 13-16. This camp is open to mothers and their children (ages 3-12), and you do not have to be a member of United Methodist Women to participate. Deadline for registration is August 9.

Listening Sessions
Pastor Claire has scheduled 17 listening sessions for the month of July, designed for small groups of 10-12 parishioners.
The purpose of these sessions is to communicate our priorities for the church.

Summer of REFUGE
This summer of REFUGE will include our annual Robeson County Mission Trip (July 21-27), a 5-session Wednesday Night Bible Study on the Book of Romans (7-8pm) @ Ms. Jeanne Owens, a trip to "Wet n' Wild" Emerald Pointe on August 3rd, & a "Back to School" Lock-in on Friday, August 23rd!

Donations for a Church Van
Our Board of Directors has asked us to consider prayerfully helping to raise money to purchase a new-to-us van. Our van is used extensively for bringing people to church and for transporting youth, children, and adults to participate in church projects. Our goal is for 150 gifts of $100 apiece, payable in increments if desired. If you would like to help, please mark your gift “Van Replacement Fund.”
