Dear Memorial Family,

Can you believe it's already October? It feels like we just finished VBS last week, but here we are, with our hearts turning once more toward the important work of stewardship.

As we move into this time of reflection, I'm excited about our brand-new Worship Series, "Wholehearted."...

October 3rd, 2025

Rev. Dr. Mark Charles

Sunday, October 5th, 2025

Sunday's Scripture Lesson:

Acts 9:1-8, 17-22

Join us this Sunday as we kick off an inspiring new sermon series, "Wholehearted," where we explore the transformative power of living a life fully dedicated to faith. Pastor Charlie will dive right in by looking at the story of Patrick of Ireland, and his journey from captivity to profound spiritual leadership. Paralleled with the powerful conversion of Paul on the road to Damascus, these stories reveal the true essence of wholehearted stewardship—born out of gratitude and a call to action. Embracing a life of giving can change both your world and the world around you, which leads us beautifully into our celebration of World Communion Sunday! Come ready to be inspired and challenged to live a life where you leave nothing on the field. See you there!

World Communion Sunday is October 5th!
On this special day, we celebrate the unity and diversity of the universal Christian community. As we gather around the Lord’s table at Memorial, we recognize our unity in Christ, joining with others worldwide in Holy Communion.

Sunday Afternoon:

Bring your furry, scaly, hairy little buddies to St. Peter's THIS SUNDAY at 2PM for the Blessing of the Animals! Don't have a pet? Come along anyway and share in this short time of devotion and prayer where we show are thanks for all of God's creatures!

We'll be collecting a love offering of wet and dry dog food for cats and dogs at the Blessing, as well! As we thank God for our own pets, let's bless our animal friends still looking for forever homes at our local Human Society!

Midweek Reflection: Wednesday, October 1st, 2025

We just completed an exciting worship series "The Gospel According to the Beatles" and so many of you told us what a fun time you had hearing the songs in worship and reflecting on how the words paralleled scripture lessons. What have you taken away from that series? How can what you learned and felt in that series lead you into a new discipline or a new expression of social holiness? Reflect with Pastor Rachel now on this series and the lessons to take with us as we move ahead this year.
