Practical Solutions for Tackling MIPS Challenges

Thursday, September 12th | 1:00 PM (ET)

Many orthopaedic practices need help to stay above the MIPS penalty line. Typical challenges include limited measure choices within the Electronic Medical Record system and confusion within the Cost category.

In this session, Gary Hyman, along with Sharecare quality reporting experts, will share their real-world experience in helping administrators understand how to move away from EMR reliance, drill down into the cost category to improve scoring, and discover how the MIPS MVP program lives up to the promise of a less burdensome reporting path.

Content via South Carolina Medical Association:

"Nearly 60% of physician practices are owned by hospitals/health systems and other corporate entities. In 2012, only 25.8% of physicians were employed by corporate entities, and grew to 44% by the start of 2018. Following the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, there was a sharp increase in physician employment with research suggesting that physicians could no longer sustain the financial pressures and sold their practices to acquiring entities."
