E-News: What We Learned in 2025 - Updates from the Training Institute on Strangulation Prevention

Dear Friends,

As we step into the New Year with big goals and a bright future ahead, we’d like to take a moment to reflect on what 2025 has taught us. 2025 was a year filled with challenges and victories, and we are truly thankful to everyone who played a role in advancing our shared mission.

For those who missed our recent webinar on What We Learned in 2025, we are pleased to share the recording with you. With so much material presented during the webinar, we compiled the key highlights and are sharing those resources with our friends in this E-News. Below we highlight several of our top articles, new laws, favorite case law and our most accessed resources from 2025. This webinar is a valuable resource for those wanting to learn the latest information and available tools related to near-fatal and non-fatal strangulation in domestic violence cases.

As we look ahead to the possibilities that 2026 holds, we reaffirm our commitment to creating pathways to hope and healing for survivors. Together, we can make a difference.

Always with great Hope,

Catherine, Casey, Gael, Joe, Fernanda, Jess, and Jahlyssa
