Two Special Concerts at St. Peter's
St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Honolulu will be holding two special concerts:

  • Sunday, May 19, 2019, 6:30 PM - Mele Mai Paki Lima Community Handbell Ensemble; view flyer HERE
  • Sunday, June 2, 2019, 4:30 PM - 'Onipa'a, Honoring Queen Lili'uokalani; to view the impressive line-up of performers, view the flyer HERE.

The concerts are free and open to the public. St. Peter's is located at 1317 Queen Emma Street in Honolulu. For more information, call the church at (808) 533-1943.
Eucharistic Minister/Visitor Training: O'ahu
There will be a training for Eucharistic Ministers and Eucharist Visitors on Saturday, July 27, 2019, at the Cathedral of St. Andrew, Von Holt Room. Training will begin at 9:00 AM for both until lunch. After lunch, those intending to become Eucharistic Visitors will stay until 3:30 PM. More information and registration can be found HERE. People from the neighbor islands may attend this training, but airfare will not be covered by the Diocese. Neighbor island trainings are being scheduled.

Celebrating Queen Lili'uokalani
All Saints' Episcopal Church in Kapa'a will be holding a special service celebrating the life and achievements of Queen Lili'uokalani, the only reigning queen and last monarch of the independent Kingdom of Hawai`i.

The service will take place on Sunday, May 19, 2019. Hawaiian Civic organizations have been invited and look forward to honoring the Queen. A potluck follows the service. All Saints' is located at 4-1065 Kuhio Highway. For more information, contact the church at (808) 822-4267.

Good Shepherd Fundraiser: 50th Annual Barrio Fiesta
Good Shepherd Episcopal Church will be serving it up at the 50th Annual Barrio Fiesta at the Binhi At Ani Filipino Community Center, on Friday and Saturday, May 24 & 25, 2019. This is their biggest fundraiser of the year, and members work hard cooking lots of delicious chow fun! You can purchase pre-sale tickets for $9 a quart, or at the Barrio Fiesta for $10 a quart. The staff at Camp Mokule'ia will be offering youth camp sessions on Maui, July 16-20, 2019, at Camp Keanae in Haiku. There will be an Elementary Camp (finished grades 2-5) and a Middle School Camp (finished grades 6-8). Cost is $345 per child. A Cup of Cold Water Volunteer Appreciation
The annual A Cup of Cold Water (ACCW) appreciation event will take place on Saturday, August 17, 2019, from 4:00-6:00 PM, at Trinity By-the-Sea Episcopal Church in Kihei. The gathering of ACCW volunteers and friends is to honor and thank all for work, support, prayers with our outreach mission to serve the neediest of Maui with the essentials for life—especially served with compassion.

St. Jude's July Spaghetti Dinner
St. Jude's Episcopal Church will be holding a Spaghetti Fundraiser Dinner on Friday, July 12, 2019. Doors open at 5:30 PM, and dinner is served at 6:00 PM. Tickets are available at the door for $8 per person, $15 for two, or $20 for a family. You can also pre-purchase your tickets at Sunday services beginning at 9:30 AM. Colorado Episcopalians, interfaith social justice advocates hold ‘Faithful Tuesdays’ at state capitol

A coalition of interfaith leaders and their allies regularly brought a social justice message to the Colorado General Assembly’s first 2019 regular session. The effort was formed from long-standing relationships rooted in multiple faith traditions, all recognizing a common humanity, shared values and a desire to change the public narrative. READ MORE
