St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church in Honolulu welcomes The Rev. Mafi Vakameilalo, who joins their growing and multi-cultural congregation. The Rev. E-MAIL WEBSITE SCAMS: DIOCESAN WEBSITE CHANGES
In the ongoing battle against e-mail and online scams, over the next couple weeks, the Diocesan website will be removing linked e-mail addresses from all pages, and replacing them with a contact form. This change will also affect the ministry pages (DOK, ECW, EfM, etc.) that contain e-mail addresses of contacts, although form inquiries will still be directed to those persons.
It is a good idea for all churches to reconsider displaying e-mail addresses on their websites that could invite potential spoofers. As always, if you receive any e-mails asking for personal information, be wary and take steps to verify that it is from a legitimate source.

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS -SAVE THE DATES!
EYE20 DATES & LOCATION SET
|
The next triennial Episcopal Youth Event (EYE20) will be taking place at Howard University in Washington, D.C., July 7-11. There are plans for the Hawai'i delegation to participate in mission and community service in the area for a few days following the event. More information will be coming out in the fall, and applications will be accepted at that time. The delegation is limited to 24 high school youth plus chaperones, and we anticipate that this EYE event will be more costly than in previous years due to logistics.
PASTORAL CARE TEAM NEEDED! Are you a young adult or adult (at least 19 years of age or older) who would love to support the ministry and work of the EYE20? Volunteer to serve as Dorm Crew, Event Team, or Medical Care Team. All of these roles support the ministry and work of EYE20 and are managed by the Pastoral Care Coordinators, The Rev. Shannon Kelly, The Rev. Rich Clark, and Lauren Wainwright. See the skills/gifts, qualifications, and job descriptions found in the application for more information. You cannot be a part of your diocesan delegation and volunteer for any part of the Pastoral Care Team. Click
HERE for more information and to apply. Deadline for submission is October 20, 2019.
So start gearing up! Plan your fundraisers for early 2020, and get ready for another transformative trip for our youth! For more information about EYE, visit the Episcopal Church website
HERE or stay informed through the EYE Facebook page
