LIFE TRANSFORMED: THE WAY OF LOVE IN LENT AND EASTER
The journey through Lent into Easter is a journey with Jesus. We are baptized into his life, self-giving and death; then we rise in hope to life transformed. This Lent, faith communities are invited to walk with Jesus in his Way of Love and into the experience of transformed life.

EPISCOPAL CHURCH CONSTITUTION AND CANONS 2018 NOW AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD OR PURCHASE

[January 25, 2019] The Rev. Canon Michael Barlowe, the Executive Officer of the General Convention, announces that the 2018 edition of the  Constitution and Canons together with the Rules of Order , containing all updates from the 79th General Convention, is now available in English and Spanish. The Constitution and Canons outline the ecclesiastical law that governs The Episcopal Church.
 
The complete and authorized version of the  Constitution and Canons together with the Rules of Order , of The Episcopal Church as adopted and revised by the General Convention of 2018 is available online for free  here  as a downloadable PDF file or as an HTML file that can be viewed in a browser. This page also includes links to purchase print English and Spanish copies for $35.00 each.
 
The Episcopal Church’s 79th General Convention was held July 5-13, 2018 at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, TX (Diocese of Texas). The General Convention is the governing body of The Episcopal Church. Every three years it meets as a bicameral legislature that includes the House of Deputies and the House of Bishops, composed of deputies and bishops from each diocese. The General Convention also includes Interim Bodies which meet between the triennial sessions to accomplish ongoing work and tasks set in the triennial sessions.
 
The Constitution, Canons, and Rules of Order pertain to the governance of The Episcopal Church. They have been adopted in the General Conventions from 1785 – 2018.

SACRED GROUND : A NEW DIALOGUE SERIES FROM THE EPISCOPAL CHURCH EXPLORING RACE AND FAITH
[February 1, 2019] Sacred Ground is a film- and reading-based dialogue series on race and faith. Participants will walk together through America’s history of race and racism, while weaving in the threads of family story, economic class, and political and regional identity. It’s an invitation for small groups to gather to learn, share, and prepare to become Beloved Community.
 
Built around a curriculum of powerful documentary films, videos, and readings, this 10-part series considers some of the major chapters of the United States of America’s history of race and racism. It focuses on Indigenous, Black, Latino, and Asian American histories as they intersect with European American histories. Participants are invited to peel away the layers that have contributed to challenges and divides in the present day – all with a deep foundation in faith and love. READ MORE

UNITED THANK OFFERING APPLICATIONS BEING ACCEPTED

Applications are now being accepted for the 2019 United Thank Offering grants.  The focus for the 2019 United Thank Offering grants is "Go: Crossing boundaries created by race, culture, and economics to create communities that listen deeply and learn to live like Jesus." More information and application is available  HERE .

Known worldwide as UTO, the United Thank Offering grants are awarded for projects that address a new focus area each year, both domestically and internationally in the Episcopal Church and the Anglican Communion. The United Thank Offering was founded to support innovative mission and ministry in the Episcopal Church and to promote thankfulness and mission in the whole Church. 100% of thank offerings given to UTO are granted the following year.
