Proper 10
O Lord, mercifully receive the prayers of your people who
call upon you, and grant that they may know and understand
what things they ought to do, and also may have grace and
power faithfully to accomplish them; through Jesus Christ
our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
Amen.

MARY DAY WILSON, R.I.P.
Mary Day Wilson, 92, of All Saints’ Church Kapaʻa died on June 10, 2019. Mary was a recipient of the Bishop’s Cross during the Diocese’s sesquicentennial celebrations in November 2012. For many years, Mary was active in Diocesan and Parish leadership. Her faith and wisdom were gifts to the entire Diocese.
A service was held on Saturday, June 29, 2019, at All Saints Church in Kapaʻa, and she will be laid to rest at Nuʻuanu Cemetery on Oʻahu at a later date.
ALMIGHTY AND ETERNAL GOD, to whom there is never any prayer made without hope of mercy, be merciful to the soul of your faithful servant, Mary, being departed from this world in the confession of your Holy Name that she and all the departed may be welcomed into the company of all the saints, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Rest eternal grant her, O Lord, and let light perpetual shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.
The Right Reverend Robert L. Fitzpatrick

Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) saves lives! A few churches have inquired about installing AED(s) at their location. Before installing one, individual(s) trained in its use and CPR should be available on site. To help with this training the Diocesan Support Center is now able to offer Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED training at your location (neighbor islands included) with a minimum of 4 individuals (churches can combine with other churches to meet the minimum).
The Red Cross charges $95 per person for this training. We are able to offer the same course for $40 per person.
Course Summary:
This course will prepare you to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies involving adults, and meets OSHA/workplace requirements. This is a blended learning course including an online portion and an instructor-led classroom skill session. The online portion must be completed prior to attending the in-class portion and must be taken on a PC or tablet with a high-speed Internet connection. Allow approximately 2 hours, 5 minutes to complete the online portion. The instructor-led classroom skill session will last approximately 1 hour. Upon successful completion of both portions (online and in-person) of this course, you will receive a digital Red Cross certificate for Adult First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years. For more information, visit the RedCross training webpage
