Proper 17
Lord of all power and might, the author and giver of all good
things: Graft in our hearts the love of your Name; increase in
us true religion; nourish us with all goodness; and bring forth
in us the fruit of good works; through Jesus Christ our Lord,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God,
for ever and ever.
Amen.

Led by Mary Parmer, Invite Welcome Connect "is a ministry of relational evangelism and congregational empowerment allowing churches to become places of genuine connection for inviting the faith journeys and stories of everyone, enabling deeper journeys of Christian discipleship and enabling the Spirit of Christ to be at the heart of each church's hospitable mission of spreading the Good News."

CELEBRATING BAPTISM VIDEO SERIES
The sacrament of baptism is an opportunity for joy, power, and a deep connection with tradition. Celebrating Baptism offers an opportunity to teach and learn about this sacrament through a free video series and accompanying reflection guides available from The Episcopal Church
HERE.
"Through our baptism we seek to follow the way of Jesus; we are named as one of God's own,” said Jerusalem Greer, staff officer for evangelism for The Episcopal Church, “As beloved, we celebrate our new life in the body of Christ, and then invite others into transformative relationship with God, others, and creation. When we live wholeheartedly into this understanding of our identity as baptized Christians following the way of love, we have a greater opportunity to change not just our own lives, but the world."

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS -SAVE THE DATES!
EYE20 DATES & LOCATION SET
|
The next triennial Episcopal Youth Event (EYE20) will be taking place at Howard University in Washington, D.C., July 7-11. There are plans for the Hawai'i delegation to participate in mission and community service in the area for a few days following the event. More information will be coming out in the fall, and applications will be accepted at that time. The delegation is limited to 24 high school youth plus chaperones, and we anticipate that this EYE event will be more costly than in previous years due to logistics.
PASTORAL CARE TEAM NEEDED! Are you a young adult or adult (at least 19 years of age or older) who would love to support the ministry and work of the EYE20? Volunteer to serve as Dorm Crew, Event Team, or Medical Care Team. All of these roles support the ministry and work of EYE20 and are managed by the Pastoral Care Coordinators, The Rev. Shannon Kelly, The Rev. Rich Clark, and Lauren Wainwright. See the skills/gifts, qualifications, and job descriptions found in the application for more information. You cannot be a part of your diocesan delegation and volunteer for any part of the Pastoral Care Team. Click
HERE for more information and to apply. Deadline for submission is October 20, 2019.
So start gearing up! Plan your fundraisers for early 2020, and get ready for another transformative trip for our youth! For more information about EYE, visit the Episcopal Church website
HERE or stay informed through the EYE Facebook page
