Thank you to all that lent a hand in securing bags for the Wednesday Community Food Distribution that we host each week. We have received an overwhelming amount of bags that will keep us well supplied for the next couple months or more! We are so grateful for your help and response to serve our community.
Hi CUMC! My annual SouperBowl of Caring Food Drive, which directly benefits the CUMAC ECHO Food Bank in Patterson NJ, is taking place through March 28th (Palm Sunday). Please consider dropping off beans, rice, canned soup, pasta & sauce, and personal care items at either at my house or email me ( to make pickup arrangements. In recent years, we have been able to help hundreds of families in need, and I am hoping that we can continue this worthy cause, despite the uncertainties of the pandemic. PreK / Early Elementary - Sundays at 9:30am on Zoom. Last week we read what someone called “the most difficult story in the Bible” and learned a valuable lesson about God’s grace. This week our topic is Parable and we’ll read The Parable of the Sower. Parables can be difficult – just ask the disciples! However, they are meant to take ordinary objects - things we understand – and use them to explain large abstract concepts of faith that may be otherwise difficult to understand. We may need to do some decoding, but once we do, we’ll understand more about God’s giant love for each of us and how we can share it with the world.

Submerge (4th-8th grade) - Sundays at 10:30am on Zoom. This week’s topic: Believing Jesus Even When No One Else Believes. Have you ever decided whether you wanted to get to know someone based on their actions? A person’s actions can give us a lot of information about that person. This week we’ll go deeper into the story of a blind man who was healed by a man he did not know and how that action gave him strength when challenged by people who did not believe Jesus was the Son of God.

High School Discussion - Sundays at 11:45am on Zoom. We’ll continue with A?K – Because Your Questions Matter and the unit on “MORALITY – What’s Right and What’s Wrong?.This week’s session: “Moral Stories.” The topic of morality is more than an academic discussion – it is something that affects us on a personal level. It is important to look at our life experiences because they shed light on our own world views. What do our experiences teach us about our morality?  This week’s Key Verse: Romans 6:21c-23

URGENT: CUMC Community Food Pantry
The community support and need of our 24/7 pantry has grown. After a very busy month, our pantry and stock of supplies is very low. We have a critical need for many items. For updates on our current needs you may visit our dedicated Facebook page and Website. These sites are updated weekly with accurate information on what our current needs are and how to best support our efforts before you shop. Thank you all for your continued care of one another and making our Pantry a community staple.
