• For that which we have come to appreciate
• For the ways you have seen us through, encouraged us, and helped us to put one foot in front of the other
• For the moments when you have laid us down beside still waters, and for the ways you have stirred up in us a renewed desire to serve others.
• For the 600,000 people who have died from the Coronavirus, and for their families and friends who will forever be changed because of the loss of their loved ones and friends.
Youth & Kids News

Sunday School: We wrapped up our regular school year schedule of classes last week. We’ll stay connected this summer through Vacation Bible Camp, RISE, and perhaps another pool party or backyard BBQ. Regular classes will resume in the fall.
Kate Ziegler speaks at this week’s Baccalaureate service for Chatham High School seniors in our back parking lot. Thanks to those who supported this special evening for the community.
VBC
Gear Up!  Camp E.D.G.E. VBC is coming soon!
June 28-30, Mon-Wed, 9:00-11:00am
After a long year of hunkering down at home we think it's time to get out and "Experience and Discover God Everywhere" at a mini Vacation Bible Camp in person (yay!!) in the great outdoors at CUMC for kids 4yrs. old to 5th grade.
Tho some things will be different this year (it's shorter, we'll be outside, small group of kids), lots of things will be the same - familiar faces, a loveable puppet, Bible stories brought to life, games, snacks, crafts, and music. Speaking of music, for a preview of the songs, click here.
Just like with the extreme sports Extreme Jean will tell us about, safety is key. For more info on our COVID protocols, as well as registration information, contact Karen at youtchatumc@optonline.net.
RISE
July 25-31 is a go!!
The RISE board has determined that RISE will go forward this summer and CUMC has 2 teams of youth heading to Friendship in the NY Appalachians to put their faith in action making homes warmer, safer, and drier.
If you would like to help sponsor our teams and contribute to this important mission started in our church over 40 years ago, send your check to the church office and be sure to write “Youth RISE” in the memo line. Thank you!

CUMC Outreach
Volunteers are always needed
Altar Flower Dedication
The Fall 2021 Calendar is now available on the bulletin board outside Jeff’s office; dedication forms and envelopes are located underneath the calendar. By donating altar flowers on Sunday, you help add the beautiful gift of flowers to our Sanctuary. Cost of donating flowers is $40 check made out to CUMC; please specify Altar Flowers in the memo line.
Donating flowers is a wonderful way to honor, celebrate, or commemorate a special occasion or a loved one. Flower arrangements are created by Chatham’s Sunnywoods Florist; you may choose to take the flowers with you after the 10:00 service or specify to have them donated. Flowers donated are brought to our church members at home or in care facilities. The colorful bouquets not only brightens their day, they offer spiritual support and reminds recipients that they are so very important to our church community. Weekends from September through December are available for 2021. Please note that we will be starting flowers in September and not during the summer. Please reserve your weekend today! Questions, please email Eileen Ruggiero at chatumc@optonline.net.
