Earlier today, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit issued a stay of the preliminary injunction previously granted by the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas (in the Texas Top Cop Shop v. Garland, et al. lawsuit), thereby reinstating the January 1, 2025 deadline for filing beneficial ownership information pursuant to the Corporate Transparency Act (“CTA”).
