Vestry Meeting Summary – March 23, 2026
Below is a summary of the Vestry Meeting which occurred on March 23, 2026 at 5:30 p.m.
A Season of Growth and Momentum
We continue to see strong signs of vitality at St. Cyprian’s. Attendance remains steady and growing, with many new faces joining us on Sundays. We’ve celebrated several baptisms in recent weeks, with more already planned, and we are preparing for confirmations when the Bishop visits later this year.
Financial Health
Our financial position remains strong. Giving has exceeded expectations early in the year, and we are currently ahead of budget. This puts us in a healthy place as we continue to stabilize systems and plan for the future.
As part of this, the Vestry approved designating the upcoming Easter Sunday offering to support the Rector’s Discretionary Fund, which is used to provide direct assistance to individuals and families in need.
Parish Life & Fellowship
- Easter Egg Hunt is back this year, with parish volunteers stepping up to lead and organize it.
-
There will be no First Wednesday gathering in April due to Holy Week.
-
Planning is underway for a future ministry fair to help connect members with ways to get involved.
We need more members to step forward to help lead and support the Parish Life committee.
Outreach & Community Impact
Our Lenten speaker series on food insecurity has been a success, drawing both parishioners and community guests. These gatherings are deepening awareness and helping shape future outreach partnerships.
We are continuing to receive and review proposals for our Impact Partnership Grants, with a focus on both financial support and hands-on involvement.
Worship & Holy Week
Preparations are underway for Holy Week, with meaningful opportunities for worship and reflection. We encourage everyone to participate in as many of these services as possible. It is truly the heart of our life together.
We are always grateful for those who serve in worship roles and welcome anyone interested in joining.
Behind the Scenes
Significant progress is being made in strengthening our administrative and financial systems. While much of this work happens quietly, it is essential for building a healthy, sustainable future for our parish.
Looking Ahead
There is a strong sense that we are moving into a new and hopeful season at St. Cyprian’s. Growth is happening not just in numbers, but in engagement, leadership, and care for one another.
