9th - 11th Grade Finals
Finals for underclassmen begin Thursday, May 25th. We will run an altered schedule due to finals and students should arrange pick up rides at 1:00 pm. Buses will be departing right after dismissal. Students should proceed directly to their bus when the bell rings. Any student in an AP or IB course should check exemptions requirements to see if they can apply for an exemption. Students seeking an exemption from a final exam should complete an Exemption Form and turn it into their teacher for approval. Requirements for being exempt can be found on our website here. Students that are exempt, are still required to attend the period that their exam is being given. Seniors will attend senior activities. Students can also download an exemption form here.

Library Update
All library books are overdue. Please help your student find any library books they may have and we will take them and check them in. We have only 7 school days left until the summer. This means Summer Reading Time! Attached in the image is a QR code to the BHS Summer Reading Website created by the BHS English department with collaboration of the library for resources to get your summer reading books. There is an entire page dedicated to how to find your summer reading books through the library- both physical books, ebooks, and audiobooks. Spend your money on books you want to KEEP, use the library for the books you choose to read! The Bellaire HS Library (and Ms. Carpenter) is super excited to have been selected as the HISD Library Program of the Year - this is a coveted award as this means that our library program has won out over all 280 other schools and their libraries. Thank you for all of your support this year.
