This Week at Memorial...
As I write this note, I have just returned from visiting three of our members in the hospital. Each one I saw mentioned independently how much this church has meant to them. The cards, visits, calls and most importantly prayers that they have been prayed on their behalf. I was reflecting on our word cloud where so many of you shared your fears about health. As we get older, our health becomes more of a challenge. Our bodies do not work as they should, accidents leave lingering issues, and friends and family members die. So often, our health problems come as a surprise, and it is this uncertainty that underlies our fears, both for us and for our families.
I believe that it is the power of our church family’s presence that can help us to be able to move through our fears, not just for our health but in all aspects of our life. In addition to us pastors, our Stephen Ministers and Congregational Care Team are people in our church who are ready, and willing to be there for our members who may be struggling, afraid, or uncertain what the future holds. The key is, however, that we cannot be there with you, unless you let us know. So, please, if you or someone you know could use someone to walk with them, pray with them, or visit them when they are sick, call the church office and let us know and we will be honored to be there with you.

Gratefully,
Pastor Drew

If you would like to help, donations can be made to the ministry through the church. Or, food items like granola bars (any brand, any flavor), cookies, fresh fruit and individual serving fruit cups may be donated. Items can be left in the Maxwell Hall kitchen with a note that it is for Sandwich Ministry or brought on Wednesday evenings between 4:00PM and 6 :00PM. If you would like to help with this ministry through the summer, come to the Maxwell Hall kitchen on Wednesday at 4:00PM!

Audio/Visual Help Needed Sound, lighting, and visuals are an important part of our worship at Memorial. Volunteers with computer skills, who are willing to be trained to run our sound system and slides in Maxwell Hall and/or the Sanctuary are greatly needed. Some of the work may be done from your laptop at home. Please email Joan to let her know of your willingness to serve in this way. Right now we have just 4 volunteers who cover all three services to make it possible for about 550 people to worship each week! Please consider helping in this important work at Memorial.
