Mother’s Day is celebrated across the world every year on the second Sunday of May. It is marked to recognize the immeasurable contribution of mothers and mother figures in building the lives of their children. Although a single day may not be enough for many people to thank their mothers, the occasion gives everyone an opportunity to do something special for the mothers around us on Mothers Day.
We Remember...
Priscilla Haberstroh, long time and faithful member of the Chatham UMC, entered Life Eternal on May 3, 2021 after a long hospitalization, and most recently being put on hospice care. Priscilla was active in the United Methodist Women, the Rummage Sale, the Antique Sale, Friday Nighters and many more groups and committees.

Letters of love and support can be sent to her family:

Submerge students have been exploring the various literary genres found in the Bible and writing their own Psalms and letters.
What’s Happening in Our Classes this Week?
PreK / Early Elementary - Sundays at 9:30am on Zoom. This week’s theme: Encourage – Night and Day Prayers. When the church first began, there were small communities all over learning and teaching about Jesus. The apostle Paul sent them letters of encouragement. And Paul’s prayers of encouragement not only encourage us as Jesus’ followers today but remind us to encourage others.
Submerge (4th-8th grade) - Sundays at 10:30am on Zoom. This week’s topic: Bible or Not? If your Mother’s Day plans start later in the day, join us on Zoom to put your Bible knowledge to work in this light-hearted and enlightening game. If you’re brunching with Mom, enjoy some special time together.
High School Discussion - Sundays at 11:45am on Zoom. This week we’ll take a cue from Ephesians 6:2-3 and take a screen break. Enjoy some extra time with Mom!
Sunday School always welcomes new friends to join our active groups. Zoom log-in info for the classes is emailed at the end of each week. If you would like to be added to the distribution group or have questions about which class is right for your children, please email Karen at
