Football For Freedom

TONIGHT

On Friday, October 26th, the Dallastown Wildcats will host the Red Lion Lions during the 8th Annual Football for Freedom Bowl. Kick-off is 7:00 p.m. on the Dallastown Area High School American Legion Field at Wildcat Stadium. (Gates open at 5:30 p.m.; festivities begin at 6:00 p.m.)

Current and former military as well as first responders will be admitted free of charge and are invited to participate on the field in a Tunnel of Valor during pregame team introductions.

A Midsummer Night's Dream

"The course of true love never did run smooth," and neither does the course of events in the Dallastown Area High School Performing Arts Club's fall production of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream.

 

Held in the Dallastown Area High School auditorium, show dates and times are Friday, October 26th, at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, October 27th, at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., and Sunday, October 28th, at 2:00 p.m.

Dallastown Area School District is pleased to partner with Columbia University Medical Center in an effort to prepare students for transitioning beyond high school. 

Parents, staff, and community members are invited to attend a free informational session entitled, Raising and Launching Emotionally Healthy Youth: How to Prepare Your Children for the Challenges of Life Beyond High School. The event will be held in the Dallastown Area High School auditorium on Monday, November 5th, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

History and Outdoors Night

 

The Dallastown Area Middle School History Club will host  History and Outdoors Night on Wednesday, November 7th, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., a free event for the community.

Held in the middle school cafeteria, students will present projects related to historic events of various topics. Local boy scouts will demonstrate skills and information related to outdoor activities.

DELTAs from DAIS

 
Dallastown Area Intermediate School's DELTA (Dallastown Emerging Leaders of Technology Association) student group exhibited Future Ready Programming during a recent statewide Pennsylvania School Boards Association Conference in Hershey, PA. Many of the 500 school districts in Pennsylvania attended the conference and had an opportunity to interact with the DELTAs.

Wildcat Pride

Dallastown Area Communities That Care (CTC) is selling Wildcat Pride license plates. At $30 each, these attractive, durable plates were designed by Dallastown Area School District students.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit CTC, which supports various peer mentor programs of the district, including the Big Buddy/Little Buddy program and the SEALS (Supporting Educational and Leadership Skills) program, and awards scholarships for graduating senior volunteers of both programs.
