HOMECOMING 2018

This year's Homecoming theme, Arabian Nights, will transport Dallastown Area High School students on a magical escape through palaces and nighttime cityscapes.

The HS Student Council kicks off the week by hosting the highly-anticipated Powder Puff game at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 3rd, when roles are switched and the high school girls play football while the high school football players cheer them on at Wildcat Stadium at the Dallastown American Legion Field. Some of the admission fee proceeds for this event benefit the HS Volunteer Club and its 2018 Support the Troops campaign.

Then, on Friday, October 5th, the community is invited to join students and families as festivities continue with the annual Homecoming football game when the Dallastown Wildcats host the New Oxford Colonials beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the stadium.

The week concludes on Saturday, October 6th, with the Homecoming dance and crowning of the queen and king. Family, friends, and community members are invited to view the decorated areas of the high school lobby and gymnasium from 6:00 p.m. to 6:35 p.m. Those observing the student promenade must be seated in the gymnasium by 6:40 p.m.; public events conclude at 8:00 p.m.

Keeping Your Child Safe

The Dallastown Area School District is committed to a safe and secure environment for all stakeholders. Recent enhancements include a reconfiguration of school physical entrances, the use of the Raptor V-Soft Security System, revisions to district-wide lock down protocols, and the establishment of an active shooter and parent/guardian-student reunification protocol, to name a few.

In the event of an emergency, parents and guardians will be notified by School Messenger, e-mail, and district/school websites. The Dallastown Area School District Parent/Guardian-Student Emergency Reunification Plan was developed as part of the district's Comprehensive Emergency Plan. The purpose of the plan is simple: to get you and your child back together as quickly and safely as possible in times of an emergency.
